Who we are

Manent is a Quebec, Canada service that turns our clients' technical documentation into an answering assistant for their teams.

What we collect

• Our clients' documents: the files you upload (manuals, procedures, scans) are processed solely to build YOUR assistant, in a workspace strictly isolated from other clients.
• Interactions: the questions asked of the assistant and the feedback (helpful / not helpful) are logged in your workspace to improve your documentation.
• Contact details: the name and email of the users in your organization, solely for access and support.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or share your documents or your data.
• Your data does not train any AI model: it serves to answer YOUR teams, period.
• No client's data is accessible to another client — isolation is enforced mechanically by our engine.

Subprocessors

AI processing relies on Anthropic (Claude) as a subprocessor; the excerpts sent are limited to the strict scope of answering a question and are subject to their policy of not training on API client data.

Personal data detected in your documents

Our intake gateway automatically flags documents containing contact details (emails, phone numbers). The decision to include or exclude them is yours, before any processing. On request, we can search for and erase the data relating to a specific person in your workspace (interactions, logs, backups).

Safe use (mobile and AR glasses)

• Never drive a vehicle or operate a moving machine with the augmented-reality glasses display active. The assistant is designed for consultation while stopped, in a safe environment.
• Do not consult the assistant (mobile or glasses) during a maneuver that requires your full attention; bring the equipment to a stop first.
• Your equipment manufacturer's safety instructions and your employer's rules always take precedence over an assistant answer. When in doubt about a dangerous operation, the assistant quotes the instruction word for word or refers you to an expert — it never interprets it.

Retention and access

Your documents and data remain in your workspace for as long as you are a client; at the end of the contract, they are returned to you and then deleted from our systems. Every administrative access is logged.
